Fair Trade Market at Nonnenhaus – Tübingen

We are pleased to be part of the Fairermarkt at Nonnenhaus (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) in Tübingen, marking our fifth year participating in this event.

The Fairermarkt is organized in cooperation with the Fairtrade Steering Group in Tübingen. It brings together initiatives and producers committed to fair and transparent trade, with the aim of making their work more visible.

Fair trade supports small-scale artisans and farming communities across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It enables fair pricing and contributes to long-term investments in education, healthcare, and local infrastructure.

Choosing fair trade is a quiet but meaningful decision toward a more balanced and responsible global economy.

Our approach

As a non-certified business, we work outside formal fair trade certification systems. Instead, we focus on direct, long-term collaborations with artisans and small organisations in India.

These relationships are built on ongoing dialogue, transparency, and shared commitment to craft. We work closely with individual artisan families and production groups, supporting traditional skills while ensuring fair and respectful working conditions through direct trade practices.

At our stand

This year we are presenting a curated selection of new and returning pieces:

• Handcrafted bells from the Lohar family in Kachchh, made using traditional techniques
• Hand-carved wooden objects from Chairu in Jaipur
• Our beloved scrucnhies from Kumbaya
• Shawls for spring and summer
• Selected sale pieces, including some of our winter knits 

Each piece reflects craftsmanship, time, and the hands behind it.
