Our mittens are inspired by the traditional regional knitted Lahauli sock, which features a wedge shaped toe and beautiful colourwork motifs. We thought the toe shaping might translate well into a mitten pattern.
We collaborated with Indra, sending her our idea along with measurements and a sketch, and she came up with this beautiful motif set into the perfect mitt! The method used to create the alternating colours in the palm and thumb create a thick double layer for extra warmth.
