We’re thrilled to welcome Prassanna Vishwanathan, acclaimed Dhrupad vocalist from Mumbai, India, back to Tübingen for his Fall 2025 tour.

Following his highly successful concerts in 2019 and 2024, Prassanna returns to share the timeless beauty of Dhrupad with audiences once again. His deep, meditative performances have left a lasting impression, and we’re excited to experience his artistry live in Tübingen this autumn.

Prassanna brings to life the timeless art of Dhrupad, blending devotion and musical depth. A senior disciple of Pandit Uday Bhawalkar, he is deeply rooted in the Dhrupad music tradition.

Committed to the practice and performance of this ancient Indian classical tradition, he brings to his music a rare depth, meditative intensity, and a keen sense of aesthetic refinement. A former senior scholar at the esteemed ITC Sangeet Research Academy, he has performed widely across India and abroad.

Prassanna is an accomplished composer, and his work spans documentary films, television, and independent projects. His single Moksha (2022) received a Bronze Medal at the Global Music Awards, US, in 2023.
