Kusum's star legwarmers in a natural shade of dark brown with an off-white motif. Pull up or wear slouched over leggings or jeans. Slightly boot cut, they'll stretch nicely down over your fave boots. Thick and cozy for cold weather wanderings and coffee dates in town.

Each pair of leg warmers is crafted by hand by the artisan women of Kullvi WHIMS in Naggar, Himachal Pradesh. We've incorporated a rustic natural desi wool from the region's indigenous Gaddi sheep breed. You will find beautiful variation in yarn thickness and colour in these handmade pieces, making each pair unique.

STORY

This classic nordic star motif, interpreted by Kusum, was sent to us in early 2019 as a small square swatch. We asked Kusum to incorporate one of her colourwork designs into a pair of thick wooly leg warmers. She chose this star pattern, and then combined various colour combinations, resulting in this striking design.

Featuring shades of our undyed sheep's wool, choose from a deep chocolate brown, a fresh off-white, or the brindle grey. The grey, with flecks of brown and black, is achieved by mixing natural browns and blacks with off-white. These legwarmers are an ode to the natural variation found in the local breed of sheep in Himachal Pradesh.
